This week we’re so excited to have a pair of perfectly creepy posters, THE OMEN by Mark McCoy, and PARASITE by Randy Ortiz!
This is our first time working with Mark and we could not have dreamed of a better result. We’ve been fans of his for a long, long time, both as an incredible artist as well as a vocalist for some of the most influential hardcore bands including Charles Bronson, Das Oath, and Suburbanite... He’s a legend. This is also our first time working on a poster for THE OMEN, and it’s one we’re incredibly proud to offer this week. Mark has beautifully captured the sinister soul of Richard Donner’s supernatural tale of the Antichrist, and we can’t wait to team up for another.
In addition to Mark’s poster for THE OMEN we have Randy Ortiz’s take on Bong Joon-Ho’s PARASITE. Having won the coveted Palme d'Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and earning rave reviews from it’s packed screenings at both Fantastic Fest and Beyond Fest, we couldn’t be more excited to have Randy tackle a poster for this absolutely incredible film. PARASITE opens in theaters this Friday, and we HIGHLY recommend getting out to the theater to experience the latest from masterful filmmaker Bong Joon-Ho.

"Having grown up in the Satanic Panic era, my parents were disturbed by the thought of the devil poisoning the minds of American youth. As it turned out, they were right to be worried! To this day, I watch horror films and listen to heavy metal, both of which have now become embraced in a society obsessed with evil and death. Even when I first viewed THE OMEN as a kid, I understood that we weren't meant to fear Damien so much as we were supposed to see ourselves in him. Perhaps that wish was fulfilled? It was fun trying to capture this in my poster design for Mondo. I wanted to make the poster look like it could have come out in 1976 when the film was released, with a simple layout that carried the viewer's eye and with colors that evoke the gloomy feeling in the film. For me, THE OMEN was always about transmitting a sinister message to the unsuspecting, one where evil is where you least expect it, and cannot be stopped." -Mark McCoy
